Zero to Thrive (ZTT) is an initiative under the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Michigan led by Drs. Kate Rosenblum and Maria Muzik. Zero to Thrive aims to mitigate the impact of “toxic stress” on infant and early childhood mental health through promotion of science, increased public awareness, and development and delivery of programs and services targeted at innovative solutions. The Prenatal Stress Study, which began in September 2016 under the direction of Maria Muzik, M.D., is one of the many studies conducted by Zero to Thrive. This study monitors the stress levels of mothers and their infants during and after pregnancy. This multi-site, observational study has many moving parts because each participant (mother and child) is on a different assessment
